Awesome Whole Brain Teaching Video

I watched this great video this week on whole brain teaching. I had heard of whole brain teaching before but never really watched it in action. This video is great and it really turned me on to it.

Stephanie from 3rd Grade Thoughts has made lots of posts lately on whole brain teaching and its different components. Go here to read all of her whole brain teaching posts.

She also has some great whole brain teaching sign freebies at her TPT store. I love her brain breaks for the classroom unit too.

Hi April, I posted that video on my blog a couple of weeks ago because I love that the teacher is so natural using the techniques. It's one of the reasons I decided to delve a little more into WBT.

I agree that Stephanie is sharing so many thoughtful and helpful posts, and amazing resources!

I used WBT activities for the first time this year with my first graders and the kids loved it! The ones I used were Class-yes, teach-ok and Switch. The teach-ok was my favorite. And my principal loved it being used during my evaluation!

I LOVE whole Brain! You will too. Go to the Whole Brain Website for hours of learning and inspiration. Also I like Miss L's blog http://misslwholebrainteaching.blogspot.com/ and it has links to many other whole brain teacher blogs. I have a set of whole brain rule cards and forms at my TPT store for FREE (everything WBT is FREE.) :) http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Classroom-Management-Forms-and-Rules
Dive in - It's AWESOME!
ps. I may have shown that video to my class to "study" how nicely the children sat together on a rug SMALLER than ours - argghh. We were have a few "he touched me" issues.

LOVE THIS VIDEO! I BEGAN TO INCORPORATE MANY OF THE STRATEGIES LAST YEAR IN MY CLASSROOM. I ESPECIALLY LOVE THE BLOW THE ANSWER INTO YOUR HAND, BECAUSE IT GIVES ALL OF MY ELL STUDENTS TO PROCESS THE INFORMATION AND EVERYONE GETS A CHANCE TO ANSWER, WITH ENOUGH WAIT TIME.

I LOVE YOUR BLOG! YOU HAVE INSPIRED ME TO CREATE MY OWN BLOG. PLEASE FOLLOW ME
