Sand and Magnet Center

I saw this sand and magnet center in a classroom this week and really liked the way it was set up. The teacher used a smaller plastic container of sand inside her sand table. Then she placed all kinds of objects down in the sand and in the buckets next to it. The kids used magnetic wands to see what objects were magnetic and then sorted the items in baggies taped to the side of the sand table. Super simple and lots of fun!
