"Shake of the Day" ideas:
- Shake all vowels
- Make a VCV word
- Shake 2 words that rhyme
- Shake a picture and the letter of the beginning sound of that picture
- Addition or Subtraction
- 3 numbers in a row / example 4, 5, 6
- 3 dots / 3 / three
Each week the teacher calculates how many books students have read at home. A paperclip represents one book. There is a reading log attached to the post as a free download.

I like the sing-alongs that teach. I have observed many of the teachers are using songs in the classroom to teach days of the week, months, and much more. It does work.
