Troubleshooting Idea for Download Problems

With the help of a fellow blogger, I figured out tonight that the browser people are using may be causing their download problems. It may even be a browser you have been using for awhile, but all of a sudden it does not work anymore. Try using a different browser if you are having problems with the downloads. That might solve your problem. If not, email me and I will send you the documents :)

This is very true. I had been using Firefox and had never had a problem with April's site until January and since then I kept getting you are not authorized to download. Then tonight I emailed April and between the two of us she told me to used another browser and I didn't have a problem downloading with the new browser. So please don't do like I did and think you are bothering her. She was very nice and helpful. I wished I had emailed her when this first happen. Thanks again April.

So the browser is the problem! good to know! I've had people message me saying the same thing about google docs. Do we know what browsers people are using that keep getting the not authorized to download? I use firefox and have never had a problem.

Lindsey- we learned tonight that it could be the browser you have always used, but all of a sudden it does not work anymore. The browser Mrs. Daniels was using was firefox too.

I use Safari, and sometimes it will let me download and sometimes it won't. I just close out and keep trying and usually on the 4th or 5th try it will "authorize" me. :)

I've recently realized that if you open any downloads through preview (mac version of adobe reader), that the downloads do not work well. Since I set my computer to open in adobe, there have been no problems!

I have been using internet Explorer and it has worked fine up until last weekend. So I guess I need to download a new browser. I really hate to lose all of my bookmarks though.

I upgraded to Firefox 4 and started having problems. I went to the Firefox sight and downloaded the pdf reader and it is fixed.

Wonder if any mac users are having the same problem I have. I can preview certain docs with certain fonts on my mac but when I download and try to print it comes out as a blurry line. Don't have that same problem on my school pc. Wonder if anyone knows if there is a fix for that?

I have trouble with the "translation"...not the downloading! Some files download fine and others
have gray lines instead of text. What gives with this problem?
