- I taught full-day kindergarten for 14 years and have spent the last 2 years as a kindergarten and first grade strategist working all over my district. I am excited to say that this school year I will be back in my own kindergarten classroom!! While I loved working with kinder and first grade teachers and their students, I missed having a class of my own. I graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 2008 with a masters in curriculum and instruction. I am currently working on my doctorate in early childhood studies with a minor in curriculum and instruction at the University of North Texas. I hope to one day teach at the university level. I love what I do and want to pass on all that I have learned over the years to fellow teachers and students!

Thanks so much! I switched from my home blog and created one for teaching (one not affiliated with the school, but more for pictures of the projects I do with my kids). I've used so many of your ideas (and copies) that I got from student teaching: my school even has a Christmas Around the World program, so that unit was fun to do (and made sense with the program).
