I was a kindergarten teacher for 14 years until last year when I took a position as a kindergarten and first grade strategist for my district. While I no longer have a class of my own, I still get to teach young children all over the district. I will always be a kindergarten teacher at heart.
I graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 2008 with a masters in curriculum and instruction. I am currently working on my doctorate in early childhood education with a minor in curriculum and instruction at the University of North Texas. I hope to one day teach at the university level. I love what I do and want to pass on all that I have learned over the years to fellow teachers and students!
Thanks so much! I switched from my home blog and created one for teaching (one not affiliated with the school, but more for pictures of the projects I do with my kids). I've used so many of your ideas (and copies) that I got from student teaching: my school even has a Christmas Around the World program, so that unit was fun to do (and made sense with the program). Miss you and hope all is well! Tell Abby I said hello! :)
This looks great...but I am having a little difficulty downloading to my Mac. There are no words..just big swatches of color where the words are supposed to be. Any suggestions? Thanks! Neecee

Thank you April, this is wonderful! I used so many of your great ideas during our Texas unit (pictures are on my blog) and I can't wait to use these.
Sorry, had to delete last comment because my link didn't work!
