Recently, I put together these ideas for the kinder and first grade teachers in my district. They are activities and lessons that go with the science TEKS they are teaching this six weeks. The lessons are on rocks, soil, water, day and night, and recycling. There are a few things I gave out as handouts. I will scan those next week and add them to the post then.

Awesome!!! I was in desperate need of some ideas on how to teach rocks/soil for the upcoming 6 weeks at school. Thanks!!!!
Thank you so much. You are so generous to share your ideas. I was just in the processing of planning a whole class science project on rocks and soil. It's a big school wide event and your activities will go along perfectly. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas and hard work!

April,
I love your blog and all of the wonderful things that you share. For some reason, I cannot download any of your rock posts - it says I am not authorized to download them. Would you mind emailing them to me?
Thank you SO much!
