A Winter Wonderland of Lessons

On the 100th day, we look for 100 Hershey kisses that are spread out all over the room. They are all numbered on the bottom. We find them, bring them back to a 100 chart and find their matching number. Once we have found all 100, we start eating!!

On the 100th day, we learn that 100 pennies make one dollar. We use plastic money and paper pennies to help us see that 100 pennies is the same as one dollar.

We learn how different animals adapt to winter. We pretend to migrate and hibernate. The TLC Lessons book, Animals in Winter, has lots of animal pictures to make and facts about hibernation, adaptation, and migration.

Here are a few winter lesson ideas. I will post more in the next couple of weeks.
